Suryakumar Yadav carried on his fine nick in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League with a supreme unbeaten 73* (43) [his highest score this season] in Match 63 between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, May 21. With this, he equalled a record which only Temba Bavuma has managed to achieve when it comes to men's T20 cricket.
This was Suryakumar's 13th innings for MI in IPL 2025. It was also the 13th consecutive instance of the dynamic batter registering a score exceeding the 25-run mark. Bavuma was the first professional cricketer to achieve such a feat. The South African batter accomplished the milestone in February 2020. Bavuma's 13 innings comprised eight domestic matches and five international ones.
Below is a list of all the 13 innings in which Suryakumar and Bavuma scored 25-plus scores
Bavuma's streak ended in November 2020, where he registered a run-a-ball five against England in the first T20I of the series. Suryakumar has an opportunity of surpassing the 13-match streak during MI's clash against Punjab Kings on Monday, May 26. The encounter against PBKS will be MI's last league game of IPL 2025.
