IPL 2026: DC should release T Natarajan and target these three players ahead of auction

Delhi Capitals (DC) narrowly missed out on the playoffs in IPL 2025, finishing fifth in the points table. The team started the season strongly with four consecutive wins, but inconsistency in the middle phase cost them a playoff berth. While KL Rahul led the batting department with confidence and Mitchell Starc spearheaded the bowling attack, some areas of the squad lacked balance and clarity.
One such case was that of left-arm pacer T. Natarajan, who featured in only two matches and failed to find a stable position in the playing XI. Given the current composition of the squad, DC might consider releasing Natarajan ahead of the IPL 2026 auction and look for fresh faces who can strengthen their bowling lineup.
The right-arm pacer Gurnoor Brar is one promising youngster whom the Delhi-based franchise should target. Brar has impressed with his disciplined line and length in the domestic circuit and has been a vital part of the Punjab team in the Ranji Trophy. Recently, while representing India A, he caught the attention of selectors and teammates with his sharp bowling and ability to swing the ball both ways.
Brar’s youthful energy combined with his growing experience makes him an exciting prospect. He can be a proper replacement for Natarajan and can further develop under the guidance of experienced bowlers like Starc.
