Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings are set to face each other in match No. 48 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday, May 5.
Axar Patel and Co. are placed at No. 7 on the points table. They have four wins and five losses from nine matches. The Capitals are coming into this clash on the back of a seven-wicket win against the Rajasthan Royals.
Meanwhile, the Chennai Super Kings find themselves at No. 6 with four wins and five losses under their belt. However, they have a net run rate of +0.005 compared to -0.895 that the Capitals have.
These two teams met earlier in the season at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Chennai Super Kings won the match by 23 runs.
Ruturaj Gaikwad has found form, probably just in time for the Chennai Super Kings. The right-handed batter scored two unbeaten half-centuries in the last two games. He will look to play the anchor's role, while Sanju Samson is expected to go hammer and tongs from the other end.
Kyle Jamieson has played the last two games and looked menacing with the new ball. He will look to vary his lengths and swing the ball inside the power play. If he gets his lengths and lines right, he can give Gaikwad a tough time.
