The Delhi Capitals (DC) will lock horns against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 14 of the 2026 Indian Premier League at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday, April 8. Both sides come into the game with completely different fortunes and form.
The Capitals have picked up four points from their opening two matches, after beating the Lucknow Super Giants and the Mumbai Indians (MI). They were particularly impressive against MI, winning by six wickets after restricting the free-scoring side to just 162 in the first innings. Sameer Rizvi was the star of the show, mesmerising the home crowd with a 51-ball 90 to take his side home.
GT, on the other hand, are still waiting for their first win of the new season, having lost to the Punjab Kings and then to the Rajasthan Royals on home soil. Against RR, the 2022 champions fell six runs short after chasing 211 in the second innings. Sai Sudharsan made a great start to the innings by scoring 73 from 44 balls. However, once he was sent back to the pavilion by Ravi Bishnoi, GT never really recovered, failing to score 11 runs in the last over.
Despite their contrasting forms, there is no denying that both sides have some of the best T20 players on show. These players compete in the shortest format of the game for the major part of the calendar year due to the increase in T20Is and the advent of franchise cricket. With a plethora of T20 games being played all around the globe, there is always a possibility that some of these players are close to achieving a personal milestone.
