The Delhi Capitals (DC) host the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on May 17 in Match 62 of the 2026 Indian Premier League.
The Capitals play their final home game of the 2026 IPL. They have won just one game out of six played in the capital city, and will be looking to finish their home leg on a high. They are all but eliminated from the tournament, needing to win their last two games, and hoping other results go in their favour. They come off a dominant win against the Punjab Kings in Dharamshala, where they chased down 211 with three wickets in hand.
The Royals are returning to action after an eight-day break. They were beaten by the Gujarat Titans by a whopping 77 runs in their last game at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. They have 12 points in 11 games, and are well placed to make a late push for the playoffs.
The two teams met on May 1 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Batting first, the Royals put up a competitive total of 225 for six in their 20 overs, with skipper Riyan Parag scoring a 50-ball 90 and Donovan Ferreira adding vital runs in the end with a blistering 14-ball 47. The returning Mitchell Starc finished the game with figures of 3 for 40 for the Capitals.
The Capitals then made light work of the chase, courtesy of a 100-run stand for the first wicket from Pathum Nissanka and KL Rahul, who set the innings up with scores of 62 and 75, respectively. Ashutosh Sharma and Tristan Stubbs stitched an unbeaten 49-run stand, romping home with seven wickets to spare.
