The Gujarat Titans (GT) take on the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Match 25 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday, April 17.
GT have registered two consecutive wins in the tournament following a disappointing start to the season. They recently got the better of the Lucknow Super Giants, beating them by seven wickets after Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler scored half-centuries and Prasidh Krishna ended up with a four-wicket haul.
KKR have completely different fortunes compared to their opponents. The three-time champions have played five games so far this season and are yet to pick up their first two points, losing four and having one game abandoned due to rain. They will travel to Gujarat on the back of a 32-run defeat at the hands of the Chennai Super Kings.
Both KKR and GT have a squad brimming with star players with a plethora of experience playing the T20 format. Some of these players are close to achieving milestones on a personal level due to having been playing the shortest format of the game regularly, due to the large influx of franchise cricket across the world.
