The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) host the Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 60 of the 2026 Indian Premier League at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday, May 16.
The Knight Riders return to their home ground after nearly a month of fixtures on the road. In their last game at the Eden Gardens on April 19, they beat the Rajasthan Royals, which was their first victory of the season. They continued that form, adding three more successive wins before seeing their streak broken by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Raipur on May 13. With nine points in 11 games, they need victories in their final three matches if they are to stand a chance of making the playoffs.
The Titans have slowly become one of the most dominant outfits in the 2026 season. With eight wins in 12 matches, they sit in second place in the table with 16 points and have all but sealed their place in the playoffs. They beat the Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 12, bowling them out for 86 while defending 168. They are on a five-game winning streak and will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to carry momentum into the playoffs.
The two teams met on April 17 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where the Titans emerged victorious by five wickets. The Knight Riders were bowled out for 180 despite Cameron Green's 55-ball 79, his highest score in IPL 2026. The Titans chased it down with ease, with Shubman Gill scoring a 50-ball 86.
