Qualifier 1 of the 2026 Indian Premier League between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans at HPCA Stadium turned into a high-scoring thriller, but it was the mid-innings entertainment show that unexpectedly grabbed attention online. During the innings break, the organisers arranged a grand celebration featuring dazzling iridescent lights, fireworks, smoke guns, and a group of skilled violinists performing patriotic tunes to entertain the crowd.

However, the performance failed to impress many spectators both inside the stadium and watching on television. The show lasted close to 20 minutes, which frustrated fans who were eager for the second innings to begin. Earlier in the evening, Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill won the toss and elected to bowl first, a decision that backfired badly. Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted a massive 254/5 in 20 overs, powered by a sensational unbeaten 93 off just 33 balls from captain Rajat Patidar.
