The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Match 32 of the 2026 Indian Premier League at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
The Super Giants are coming off a three-match losing streak, with their batting failing to contribute. They return home for their third game at the venue, having failed to win both games held at the Ekana Stadium.
The Royals also come in on the back of a run of losses. After winning their first four games, they have been handed two significant losses and are on the lookout for two points to get their season back on track.
The two teams are in dire need of points and come into this clash hoping to gain a launchpad for some momentum in this season. The Super Giants are languishing at the ninth position, with just two wins in six games. They will be looking to get points on the board to save their season. The Royals have a solid start behind them despite the losses and have looked like one of the teams to beat in this season's tournament.
Himmat Singh: The Delhi batter came as the impact player in their previous clash against the Kings. However, he faced just one ball. He will be hoping to make an impact in the next game.
Abdul Samad: The Jammu and Kashmir all-rounder started the season for the Super Giants but was dropped due to lean form. He is one of the most potent domestic finishers in the league and could feature in future games.
George Linde: The South African all-rounder was signed as Wanindu Hasaranga’s replacement and has played two games and is yet to make an impact.
Mayank Yadav: The speedster is yet to feature for the Super Giants in 2026. He played two games in 2025 due to injuries
Digvesh Rathi: The mystery spinner has gone for runs aplenty in the 2026 season but has given crucial breakthroughs.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi: The 15-year-old prodigy has been the Royals’ regular impact player with the bat. He has had a fantastic season as one of the Royals’ top batters.
Shubham Dubey: A handy lower-order batter, Shubham is yet to feature in 2026, but with the Royals’ back-end woes, he would be a reliable option to call upon.
Lhuan-dre Pretorius: The young South African star made his IPL debut in 2025 and featured against the Sunrisers, but was unable to make a significant mark.
Ravi Singh: The middle-order batter shone for Railways in the 2025 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy but has yet to feature this season.
Yash Punja: The young leg-spinner from Karnataka made his IPL debut against the Knight Riders and picked up the wicket of Ramandeep Singh.
Home Advantage: While the Super Giants possess the home advantage, they have lost both the games in Lucknow.
Recent Form: The teams have faced each other six times, and the Royals have won four of those encounters.
Balanced Side: The Royals enter the contest as the more balanced side due to the Super Giants’ severe batting woes.
Final Prediction: The clash promises to be an enthralling contest between two teams in dire need of points to save their season. While both teams have holes, the Royals enter as favourites, being the more balanced side amongst the two.
