IPL 2026: Lucknow Super Giants' strongest predicted XI against Mumbai Indians

The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) travel to the Wankhede Stadium to take on the Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 47 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) in hopes of a win after going winless in their last five matches.
Rishabh Pant’s side’s most recent defeat came against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the most dramatic fashion at the Ekana International Stadium. The hosts did well to recover and take the game into a Super Over, only to score one run, which was chased down easily in the one-over face-off.
LSG’s batting has been their main source of concern. On paper, they have one of the strongest cores of overseas batters in the tournament, but they have not performed at the level expected out of them. On the bright side, the bowling department has been good despite the lack of experience playing at the highest level.
A lot was expected out of LSG’s top order this season, but they have failed to deliver in the first eight matches of the season. Mitchell Marsh continues to remain the side’s leading run-scorer, hitting 212 runs at an average of just 26.50, whilst striking at a lowly 133.33.
Captain Rishabh Pant has tried multiple batting positions in the tournament, without much success. The left-handed batter has scored just 189 runs from eight innings at a strike-rate of 126.84.
