Punjab Kings (PBKS) will look to consolidate their position at the top of the points table when they face the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Tuesday, April 28.
The Punjab Kings are the only unbeaten team in IPL 2026 so far. In seven matches, they have registered six wins. One of their matches was washed out due to rain. Punjab defeated Delhi Capitals by six wickets in their most recent fixture, as they chased down a 265-run target, the highest in a run-chase in T20 cricket.
Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals find themselves at No. 4 on the points table. They have five wins and three defeats after playing eight games. After four consecutive victories, the inaugural champions have suffered three defeats in their last four games.
The Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium had been producing some sluggish tracks during the previous editions of the IPL. However, things have seemed different in the three games the venue has hosted this year. In three matches played at this venue in IPL 2026, the average first-innings score was around 212. Two out of them have been won by chasing teams.
Prabhsimran Singh (WK), Priyansh Arya, Cooper Connolly, Shreyas Iyer (C), Shashank Singh, Marcus Stoinis, Marco Jansen, Xavier Bartlett, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal.
