The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in a reverse fixture on May 7 in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The match will be held at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
LSG are currently at the bottom of the points table, having secured just two wins from nine matches. They previously faced RCB earlier in the season, where they suffered a five-wicket defeat. In their most recent outing against the Mumbai Indians (MI), LSG lost by six wickets. With their playoff hopes hanging by a thread, they will aim to put up a strong performance and register their third win of the season.
On the other hand, RCB are placed second on the table with six wins from nine matches. However, they are coming off a four-wicket loss to the Gujarat Titans (GT). Determined to bounce back, RCB will look to secure their seventh victory and strengthen their position in the tournament standings.
The surface at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow has traditionally favoured bowlers, especially on the slower side. In this edition, matches at this venue have generally seen scores in the 140-160 range. The pitch tends to grip and assist bowlers who hit consistent lengths, making stroke-making slightly challenging. However, batters can still make an impact if they approach their innings with patience and smart shot selection.
