Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) lock horns with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in match No. 67 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Friday, May 22.
The Orange Army has been one of the best sides of IPL 2026, winning eight of their 13 matches. Driven by an explosive batting unit featuring Heinrich Klaasen and Abhishek Sharma, the Pat Cummins-led side has found peak momentum at the perfect time. A comprehensive victory against RCB would not only take them level on points with RCB but also amplify their chances of locking down a crucial top-two finish.
Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru are arriving on a dominant surge of their own. The defending champions are on a three-match winning streak, solidifying their spot at the top of the table with 18 points. In their most recent fixture against SRH, they held an upper hand in this season’s opener.
The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad has hosted six matches so far in IPL 2026. The venue has served few of the flattest pitches of the tournament already, with teams scoring 200-plus runs at a regular interval. The last game between SRH and PBKS was high-scoring, and one can expect the same result in this game too. Interestingly, four out of the six matches have been won by teams defending a target.
Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan (wk), Heinrich Klaasen, Salil Arora, Smaran Ravichandran, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Pat Cummins (c), Shivang Kumar, Eshan Malinga, Sakib Hussain, Praful Hinge
Venkatesh Iyer, Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar (c), Jitesh Sharma (wk), Tim David, Romario Shepherd, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, Suyash Sharma
