IPL 2026: Match 70, KKR vs DC Match Prediction – Who will win today’s IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders vs Delhi Capitals?

As Match No. 70 of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 takes center stage at the historic venue of the Eden Gardens, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will look to seal their spot in the playoffs against spirited Delhi Capitals (DC) on Sunday, May 24.
Kolkata Knight Riders's playoffs hopes are dependent on what Rajastha Royals do against Mumbai Indians in match 69. If RR win, KKR will be out of the competition. Even if RR lose, the only way to keep their hopes alive will be to beat the Delhi-based franchise by a comfortable margin, which will take their tally to 15 points.
Delhi Capitals, too, have an outside chance for the playoffs spot. If they win against KKR, they will reach 14 points and will need other results to go in their favour.
Teams have usually preferred chasing at the storied venue of the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The venue also offers a lightning-quick outfield, which further proves why the wickets here have been preferred by batters. However, in this season, the pitch has shown some assistance for the spinners. The ball grips a little, and a good spinner can exploit the conditions well.
Ajinkya Rahane(c), Tejasvi Dahiya (wk), Cameron Green, Rovman Powell, Manish Pandey, Rinku Singh, Sunil Narine, Anukul Roy, Kartik Tyagi, Varun Chakaravarthy, Saurabh Dubey Impact Player: Finn Allen
KL Rahul (wk), Abishek Porel, Sahil Parakh, Tristan Stubbs, David Miller, Axar Patel(c), Madhav Tiwari, Tripurana Vijay, Lungi Ngidi, Mitchell Starc, Mukesh Kumar
New Zealand's enigmatic opener, Finn Allen will be the batter to watch out for in this high-intensity encounter at the Eden Gardens. Allen has been one of the main reasons for KKR's late resurgence in IPL 2026. If he goes on to play beyond powerplay overs, the right-hander can create havoc with the bat.
Australia's premium pacer Mitchell Starc has been DC's best bowler since his arrival in IPL 2026. The left-hander has previously played for KKR and knows the conditions at the Eden Gardens well. He has picked up six wickets in the last two matches, and would want to increase that tally.
