IPL 2026 Memes: Hilarious Reactions from LSG vs KKR, Match 38 at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium

A closely fought contest at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium went against the liking of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), as the hosts were defeated by KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) in Match No. 38 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Sunday, April 26. The game was tied, the first of the season, and KKR won via the Super Over in a convincing manner.
The rollercoaster of a contest saw Rinku Singh (83* off 51) emerge as the hero, as he took five catches in the match, including one in the Super Over, and four exceptional stunners in the field during KKR's defence. Rinku was the orchestrator with the bat as well, smashing seven fours and five maximums in what otherwise looked like quite a pale batting performance in the first innings by the three-time champions.
While LSG did a praiseworthy job with the ball in the first innings, KKR were even better, but it all ended on equal terms, as Kartik Tyagi gave away 16 when 17 were needed off the last, with the match going into a one-over eliminator. Mohammed Shami hit a six off the last ball to level the scores in a humdinger of a contest.
Why Tyagi bowled despite two waist-high no-balls? Explained
The experienced Sunil Narine was handed the responsibility of bowling the Super Over, and he made it all worth it, getting the prized scalp of Nicholas Pooran on the first ball. A couple of balls later, Aiden Markram holed out to long-off as Rovman Powell and Rinku completed a relay catch. KKR now needed only a couple of runs to win the match, and it was yet again Rinku who took only one ball to finish the proceedings.
Speaking of the most notable performance of the match, LSG's Mohsin Khan delivered an exceptional spell of five wickets for only 23 runs from his four overs. He accounted for three wickets in his first spell and then produced two more on the last couple of balls of his four-over quota to put his team in the driver's seat. Rishabh Pant was the highest run-getter for LSG with 42 off 38 on a tricky Ekana surface.

Sunil Narine after delivering the winning Super Over:
Nicholas Pooran will get extra payment after getting out on duck in Super over. He basically lost the match twice today.
