Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru stormed into the IPL 2026 final with a commanding 92-run victory over Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 at HPCA Stadium. RCB produced a complete performance with both bat and ball, dominating the contest from start to finish.

Batting first, RCB piled up a massive 254/5 in 20 overs after losing an early wicket. Rajat Patidar led the charge with a sensational unbeaten 93 off just 33 balls, smashing five fours and nine sixes at a remarkable strike rate of 282.82. Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal laid the foundation with a brisk 72-run partnership for the second wicket in only 38 deliveries. Later, Patidar and Krunal Pandya added 95 runs for the fourth wicket in 45 balls, putting Gujarat completely under pressure. Kagiso Rabada and Jason Holder claimed two wickets each for GT, but both proved expensive.

Chasing 255, Gujarat Titans never looked comfortable and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Rahul Tewatia fought alone with a spirited 68 off 43 balls, including eight fours and four sixes, but received little support from the other batters. Jacob Duffy starred with the ball for RCB, taking 3/39, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rasikh Salam Dar, and Krunal Pandya chipped in with two wickets each. RCB will now play the final on May 31 in Ahmedabad, while GT will feature in Qualifier 2 on May 29 in Mullanpur. The winner of the Eliminator will face Gujarat Titans for the remaining place in the title clash at Ahmedabad this season.
