Punjab Kings (PBKS) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 58 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala on Thursday, May 14.
PBKS head into the contest after losing four consecutive matches and desperately need a win to solidify their chances of making it into the playoffs. The Shreyas Iyer’s side is currently at the fourth position in the points table with 13 points to their name.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians have officially been knocked out of the playoff race alongside Lucknow Super Giants. With their qualification hopes over, MI will now look to play for pride and test different team combinations in the remaining matches of the tournament.
Earlier this season, PBKS outclassed MI at the Wankhede Stadium on April 16. Chasing a target of 196, Punjab Kings completed the chase with ease, winning by seven wickets with 21 balls to spare in a dominant performance.
The upcoming clash in Dharamshala presents PBKS with another opportunity to come back to winning ways, while MI will be eager to play for pride.
