IPL 2026: Qualifier 2, GT vs RR Match Prediction – Who will win today’s IPL match between Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals?
Gujarat Titans (GT) square off against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Qualifier 2 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Friday, May 29.
This is going to be a fascinating contest between two strong teams. Rajasthan won their away fixture in Ahmedabad, and Gujarat took revenge in Jaipur. The Titans are coming into this clash on the back of a 92-run loss in Qualifier 1 against defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, the Royals will be high on confidence after winning three games in a row, including their 47-run victory against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator. The Royals have an excellent record in Mullanpur, having won all four games they have played there.
This has been a great venue for the batters. In five matches played in New Chandigarh this season, the average first-innings score has been 220. Even a 223-run target has been easily chased down on this ground. However, in a high-pressure knockout game, winning the toss and opting to bat first could be the better ploy as chasing a huge total won't be very difficult.
Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill (C), Jos Buttler (WK), Washington Sundar, Nishant Sindhu, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, Arshad Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel(wk), Riyan Parag(c), Donovan Ferreira, Dasun Shanaka, Ravindra Jadeja, Jofra Archer, Nandre Burger, Brijesh Sharma, Yash Raj Punja
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi would be oozing with confidence after amassing 97 runs off 29 balls in the Eliminator against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He hit 12 sixes during his epic knock. Sooryavanshi will know what to expect from the venue as the last game was also played here. If he gets a start, he could decimate the famed GT bowling lineup.
It's a very difficult choice between Kagiso Rabada and Jofra Archer. Both bowlers have bowled their hearts out during the tournament. The South African seamer's battle with Sooryavanshi would be a defining contest on Friday. Rabada has taken 26 wickets in 15 matches at an economy rate of 9.49 so far.
