Sara Tendulkar shared a warm and emotional reaction to her brother Arjun Tendulkar’s transfer from Mumbai Indians (MI) to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ahead of the IPL 2026 season.
Moments after Lucknow Super Giants announced his move on social media, Sara responded with a simple yet affectionate message – “Love uuuu” – expressing her full support as he begins a new phase of his IPL journey.
Her reaction quickly gained traction online, with fans appreciating the sibling bond and Sara’s heartfelt encouragement for Arjun’s fresh start.
Arjun, son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, made his IPL debut in 2023 but struggled to secure consistent playing time with Mumbai Indians in the following seasons.
Across his stint with MI, Arjun played five matches and picked up three wickets, showing glimpses of promise with the ball. However, stiff competition within Mumbai’s pace attack meant he spent most of the last two seasons on the bench.
With opportunities drying up, MI traded Arjun to LSG for INR 30 lakh. The transfer was confirmed ahead of the IPL 2026 retention deadline.
Arjun’s move to LSG is widely viewed as a crucial career reset. Lucknow, known for its well-structured bowling plans and strong developmental system, may provide the platform Arjun needs to evolve into a reliable pace-bowling all-rounder.

LSG’s pace setup, supported by experienced coaches and a balanced squad, is expected to offer Arjun more game time and exposure. Cricket experts like Aakash Chopra and Mohammad Kaif believe the move could prove beneficial for both the player and the franchise:
With IPL teams increasingly investing in young Indian quicks, Arjun’s growth over the next season could be pivotal in defining his long-term T20 career.
LSG’s current squad: Abdul Samad, Aiden Markram, Akash Singh, Arshin Kulkarni, Avesh Khan, Ayush Badoni, Digvesh Rathi, Himmat Singh, Manimaran Siddharth, Matthew Breetzke, Mayank Yadav, Mitchell Marsh, Mohsin Khan, Nicholas Pooran, Prince Yadav, Rishabh Pant (captain), Shahbaz Ahmed, Arjun Tendulkar (traded in from MI), Mohammed Shami (traded in from SRH).
