Rajasthan Royals have signed Emanjot Chahal as a replacement for wicketkeeper-batter Ravi Singh, who has been ruled out of the remainder of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 due to a hamstring injury. Ravi Singh featured in one match in the tournament before being sidelined because of the injury setback.
Emanjot, a young all-rounder from Patiala, has been roped in as his replacement. The promising cricketer has represented Punjab in domestic cricket and has shown solid all-round potential. In first-class cricket, he has registered a top score of 83 with the bat and has also picked up 11 wickets in just three matches with his left-arm spin. RR have signed him for a fee of INR 30 lakh as they look to strengthen their squad depth ahead of the crucial final phase of the tournament.
Speaking about Rajasthan Royals’ campaign, the team is preparing for a high-pressure final league-stage clash against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 24. The encounter is expected to play a decisive role in shaping the playoff race, with RR still needing to ensure a strong finish.

Led by Riyan Parag, Rajasthan Royals have had a competitive season so far, winning seven out of their 13 matches. They currently sit in fourth place on the points table and remain in a strong position to qualify for the playoffs. The side has performed well as a unit throughout the season, showing consistency in both batting and bowling departments.
A major highlight of RR’s campaign has been the explosive form of teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi at the top of the order. He has emerged as their leading run-scorer with 579 runs from 13 matches, providing the team with aggressive starts and stability at the top. His performances have been crucial in several key victories.
On the bowling front, Jofra Archer has led the attack effectively, picking up 18 wickets in 13 matches. His pace and wicket-taking ability have given Rajasthan Royals an edge in crucial moments. With playoff hopes still in the balance, RR will be eager to deliver a strong performance and secure their place in the top four.
