Unbeaten sides Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will lock horns in Match 16 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Friday, April 10.
RR play their second consecutive game in Guwahati, having previously beaten the Mumbai Indians by 27 runs in a rain-affected game. The hosts put 150 on the board in an 11-over game, thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s unbeaten 77 and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 39. Meanwhile, Nandre Burger, Sandeep Sharma and Ravi Bishnoi all took two wickets each to restrict the five-time champions to just 123.
RCB, on the other hand, are set to play their first away game of the 2026 season. The defending champions got the better of the Chennai Super Kings by 43 runs in their previous fixture. Tim David stole the show on that occasion, scoring 70 not out of just 25 balls after hitting three fours and eight sixes.
Both RR and RCB have some of the best T20 players in their ranks, with a plethora of experience playing in the shortest format of the game. T20 cricket has widely become the most played format of the game in modern times, following the rapid development of franchise leagues all over the world. These eventually result in players being agonisingly close to achieving a personal milestone in the 20-over format.
