Sunrisers Hyderabad registered a comfortable victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Match No. 67 of IPL 2026 on May 22. Batting first, SRH posted a massive 255/4 in 20 overs, powered by explosive knocks from Abhishek Sharma (56 off 22), Ishan Kishan (79 off 46), and Heinrich Klaasen (51 off 24). For RCB, Rasikh Salam Dar picked up two wickets.
In reply, RCB managed 200/4 in their 20 overs, with skipper Rajat Patidar top-scoring with 56 off 39 balls. Eshan Malinga starred with the ball for SRH, claiming 2/33. Despite the defeat, RCB finished at the top of the points table and will face Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1, while SRH secured third place and will feature in the Eliminator.
SRH opener Abhishek Sharma looked in destructive touch from the very beginning and smashed 56 runs off just 22 deliveries at an outstanding strike rate of 254.55. He gave Sunrisers Hyderabad a flying start and stitched together a 45-run opening partnership in 24 balls with Travis Head. Abhishek then added another quick 52-run stand for the second wicket with Ishan Kishan, putting immense pressure on the RCB bowlers.

After the dismissals of the openers, Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen took complete control of the innings with an aggressive counterattack. The duo added a brilliant 113 runs in just 48 balls for the third wicket. Ishan anchored the partnership with a classy 79 off 46 balls, while Klaasen played a destructive cameo of 51 runs from only 24 deliveries, helping SRH post a massive total.

Chasing a daunting target, RCB lost wickets at regular intervals before Rajat Patidar and Krunal Pandya attempted to revive the innings. The pair added 84 runs in 57 balls for the fourth wicket and briefly kept RCB’s hopes alive. Patidar led from the front with a fighting half-century, while Pandya contributed a valuable 41 runs. However, the partnership was not enough as RCB eventually fell well short of the target.
