IPL 2026: SRH vs RR, Eliminator - Top player battles to watch out for

The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Eliminator of the 2026 Indian Premier League at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.
This is a do-or-die clash for both teams as the loser will be eliminated from the tournament. The two teams have faced each other twice in the league stage, both of which were won by the Sunrisers.
Both teams come into this clash on the back of dominant victories and would be looking to extend that momentum further and carry it to Qualifier 2.
Ishan Kishan has had a brilliant season with the bat for the team in orange. Making number 3 his home, the southpaw has scored 569 runs at a blistering strike rate of 178.36, chipping in with scores all season and playing vital knocks at number 3. He has excelled both at piling on runs after blistering starts from the openers and stabilising the innings in times of collapse.
The responsibility of stopping him would fall on the shoulders of Nandre Burger. The South African seamer made his return to the team against the Mumbai Indians in the final fixture of the season, recording figures of 2 for 43. He has picked up 11 wickets in 11 games in the 2026 season and has been part of a stable support cast for the Royals in the bowling department.
