Indian Premier League 2026 Match 39 between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru saw a collapse at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, with RCB opting to bowl first.
The Capitals were under immediate pressure, losing wickets in quick succession inside the powerplay, as their top order struggled to cope with the new-ball movement.
Amid this, Bhuvneshwar Kumar produced a decisive moment in the opening over. Bowling to debutant Sahil Parakh, he delivered a full inswinging yorker on middle stump.
Parakh was beaten on the swing as the ball tailed in late to uproot the middle stump, as the debutant departed for a duck. The dismissal set the tone for RCB’s disciplined start, with the Capitals slipping further in the early overs and failing to recover from the initial damage inflicted by the pace attack. It was a magical delivery by the veteran and also a brutal welcome to IPL for the youngster.
