IPL 2026: Video of the Day - Dhruv Jurel’s mix-up ends Dasun Shanaka’s blazing knock in MI vs RR clash

Rajasthan Royals suffered a massive setback during Match 69 of IPL 2026 against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium after a bizarre mix-up between Dhruv Jurel and Dasun Shanaka resulted in the latter’s run-out at a crucial stage of the innings. It also included two fumbles by MI fielders.
The incident took place on the third ball of the 11th over when Corbin Bosch bowled a back-of-a-length delivery that Jurel guided behind point. Looking for a quick single, Jurel initially called Shanaka through, and the Sri Lankan all-rounder responded instantly. However, midway through the run, Jurel changed his mind and sent Shanaka back, leaving both batters stranded at the striker’s end.
Although Shardul Thakur fumbled while collecting the ball, he quickly recovered and fired a throw towards Bosch. The MI pacer also failed to gather cleanly at first but managed to regain control in time to dislodge the stumps, catching Shanaka well short of his crease.
The dismissal proved costly for RR as Shanaka departed after a quickfire 29 off just 15 balls, including three sixes.
Yes? No? and GONE ☝️A timely run out for @mipaltan 👏👏Updates ▶️ https://t.co/h2ze7K0gd6#TATAIPL | #KhelBindaas | #MIvRR
