IPL 2026: Video of the Day: Green grabs sensational diving catch to dismiss GT captain Shubman Gill

Despite Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) falling to yet another defeat in the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL), Cameron Green had an excellent day out in Ahmedabad against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 25 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Not only did he return to form with the bat after scoring 79 in the first innings, but the Australian all-rounder also took an outstanding catch in the deep to put an end to an elegant innings from GT captain Shubman Gill.
Gill was scoring freely, hitting 80 off just 49 deliveries and would take something special to dismiss India’s Test and ODI captain. That something special came on the last ball of the 17th over. Vaibhav Arora bowled a wide yorker from around the wicket, only for Gill to slice the ball down to deep point, where Green was stationed. With the ball dropping quickly, the six-foot-six-inch all-rounder dived in front to grab and catch.
However, it did not matter much in the end with GT securing a comfortable five-wicket win to hand KKR their fifth defeat in six matches, and they are yet to taste victory this season.
WHAT. A. CATCH 🫡How good was that from Cameron Green? 👏💜 Updates ▶️ https://t.co/FACeUzse3B#TATAIPL | #KhelBindaas | #GTvKKR | @KKRiders
