Rovman Powell took one of the finest catches of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 during the ongoing clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, May 3.
The in-form Heinrich Klaasen was getting into his groove after walking out to bat at the end of the ninth over. He hit one four and one six during his eight-ball stay at the crease, which was ended by a brilliant piece of fielding by Powell in the 11th over.
Cameron Green bowled a short delivery, which Klaasen pulled towards the mid-wicket boundary. Powell ran to his right and stretched his right arm out to catch the ball. He tumbled onto the ground, and his head hit the floor, but he didn't let the ball slip out of his grip. The home fans were stunned as they had seen something spectacular from the former West Indies captain.
It takes a stunner to send #HeinrichKlaasen packing! 🤯🔥#RovmanPowell covers massive ground and pulls off a one-handed diving catch to dismiss the danger man! 🫡#TATAIPL Revenge Week 2026 ➡️ #SRHvKKR | LIVE NOW 👉 https://t.co/YyLg9wqh6o
