A light-hearted but intense exchange took place between Virat Kohli and Travis Head during the IPL 2026 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on May 22.
The incident occurred during the fourth over of the innings when young spinner Shivang Kumar came into the attack. RCB opener Venkatesh Iyer launched a brutal assault on the spinner, smashing 23 runs in the over with three towering sixes and a boundary.
As the over progressed and boundaries kept flowing, Kohli was seen teasing Head with playful comments and animated reactions from the other end of the crease. Kohli jokingly urged Head to continue bowling spin and appeared to remind him not to talk too much as Venkatesh dominated the youngster with aggressive strokeplay. The banter escalated with both players exchanging a few words and engaging in lively face-to-face reactions throughout the over, adding extra spice to the high-scoring encounter.
Kohli and head were having banter on the ground in between shivang's over.
