The craze around teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has now crossed cricket boundaries and reached the world of WWE. Ahead of the high-pressure IPL 2026 Eliminator between the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR), a WWE superstar grabbed massive attention after posting a workout video wearing Rajasthan Royals’ jersey with Suryavanshi’s name on the back. The unexpected crossover instantly went viral across social media platforms, leaving both cricket and wrestling fans stunned.

In the now widely-shared clip, Drew McIntyre was seen performing gym exercises while sporting the Rajasthan Royals jersey featuring Suryavanshi’s name instead of his own. The video quickly exploded online, collecting lakhs of views and reactions within hours. While McIntyre has worn cricket jerseys before during training sessions, fans were surprised to see him specifically choosing Suryavanshi’s shirt. The gesture highlighted just how rapidly the youngster’s popularity has grown during the ongoing IPL season.

Even Rajasthan Royals and captain Riyan Parag reacted to the post, adding to the excitement around the crossover between WWE and cricket. With WWE enjoying a huge fanbase in India, the timing of the post, right before a knockout IPL fixture, made the moment even bigger online.

Suryavanshi has emerged as one of the biggest stars of IPL 2026 and currently leading the run-charts in the tournament. The young opener has piled up 680 runs this season and has played a massive role in Rajasthan Royals success.

Alongside him, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel have formed the backbone of Rajasthan’s batting lineup throughout the campaign. The teenager, however, heads into the Eliminator after a rare failure in RR’s final league-stage game against the Mumbai Indians (MI). Rajasthan suffered a batting collapse in that contest before Jofra Archer rescued them with a stunning all-round display.
