Star all-rounder Jamie Overton has endured a thigh injury ahead of Chennai Super Kings' game against Lucknow Super Giants, which has ruled him out of the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. Overton adds to the injury woes of CSK, as he becomes the eighth player for them to be ruled out of the season.
"Jamie Overton has a right thigh injury and will be returning to the UK for further assessment and management," CSK shared in an official statement on their social media handle on Wednesday, May 13.
Earlier on Wednesday, CSK had officially announced the signing of Macneil Noronha to replace the injured Ramakrishna Ghosh in their squad, who was ruled out of the season after a foot fracture after his IPL debut.
