Match 3, PS W vs SS W Match Prediction – Who will win today’s WBBL match between Perth Scorchers Women vs Sydney Sixers Women?

Perth Scorchers (PS W) square off against Sydney Sixers (SS) at the WACA Ground in Perth in match No. 3 of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) 2025, on Sunday, November 9.
The Scorchers fell agonisingly short of the last-four stage of the WBBL last season. They finished fifth in the season. In last month's T20 Spring Challenge, the Scorchers bowed out in the semi-final, after their game against Hobart Hurricanes was abandoned without toss. The Hurricanes progressed to the finals after finishing higher than Perth on the points table.
Sydney Sixers had a dismal campaign last season. They won three and lost five out of the 10 matches they played and finished at No. 6 in the standings. In the Spring Challenge, the Sydney Sixers finished fifth, with two wins and two losses.
Pitches at the WACA Ground in Perth are historically known for their fast and bouncy characteristics. Fast bowlers are expected to have a great time bowling at the venue. Teams, while batting, would like to go about their innings with a great deal of caution.
Sophie Devine, Amy Edgar, Freya Kemp, Beth Mooney (WK), Paige Scholfield, Chloe Tryon, Alana King, Chloe Piparo, Ruby Strange, Katie Mack, Lilly Mills.
Elsa Hunter, Sophia Dunkley, Ellyse Perry, Mady Villiers, Ashleigh Gardner (C), Amelia Kerr, Emma Manix-Geeves (WK), Maitlan Brown, Caoimhe Bray, Courtney Grace Sippel, Kate Peterson.
Ellyse Perry will be the batter to watch out for. The highest run-scorer last year would like to set the tone with the bat for her side. She has been relieved of her captaincy duties, with Ashleigh Gardner taking charge. This will lift the addition pressure of leadership off Perry's shoulders and she will be able to put all her focus into her primary skill sets.
While pacers are expected to do the damage in Perth, Alana King knows how to adapt her game to different conditions and get the opposition batters in a fix. The leg-spinner finished as the joint-highest wicket-taker last season and would want to make a strong impact on Saturday.
