MI vs SRH: IPL 2026 Records and Stats at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai

Mumbai Indians (MI) will return to action in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 as they take on an in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, April 29.
Led by Hardik Pandya, MI are struggling at No. 9 on the points table, with just two wins and five losses from seven matches. They will be desperate to turn things around and revive their campaign.
On the other hand, SRH have bounced back strongly after a difficult start. Having won just one of their first four games, they have now built momentum with four consecutive victories and currently sit at No. 3 in the standings.
The pitch at Wankhede Stadium has continued to favor batters in IPL 2026. Out of the four matches played so far, teams chasing have won two, indicating a fairly balanced but slightly chase-friendly trend. The surface remains consistent across both innings, offering good bounce and pace, which allows batters to play their shots freely throughout the game. However, the dew factor in the second innings can make things tricky for bowlers, especially when defending totals.
Mumbai Indians have been forced to shuffle their squad frequently this season due to injuries and inconsistent form, and are still searching for the right combination. Despite that, they possess immense talent, with several international and Indian players capable of turning the game single-handedly.
On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad have found their rhythm in recent matches, with young pacers stepping up impressively. The return of Pat Cummins adds further strength to their lineup, and they are currently building strong momentum in the tournament.
Although MI have dominated the recent head-to-head record, winning four of the last five encounters, current form tilts the balance in favour of SRH, giving them a higher chance of winning this contest.
