MPL T20 2026: Match 8, MS vs GC Match Prediction – Who will win today’s MPL T20 match between Malwa Stallions vs Gwalior Cheetahs?
Malwa Stallions (MS) lock horns with Gwalior Cheetahs (GC) in match No. 8 of the ongoing Madhya Pradesh T20 League at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Sunday, June 7.
Ashutosh Sharma's Malwa Stallions have had a mixed start to their campaign. They started the tournament with a six-wicket defeat to the Chambal Ghariyals. However, they bounced back strongly to beat the Ujjain Falcons by six wickets in the last game.
Meanwhile, Rajat Patidar's Gwalior Cheetahs have also had a similar start to the season. They lost their first match to the Ujjain Falcons by 92 runs, but followed it up with a 12-run win in a rain-curtailed high-scoring clash against Bhopal Leopards.
The pitches have been excellent for batting so far at the Holkar Stadium. However, as this is an afternoon fixture, there could be a bit of dryness, and spinners could come into play. The team that bats first should look to get to a score of around 180.
This is going to be the first match between these two teams.
Aryan Deshmukh, Ansh Yadav, Akhil Nigote Yadav, Prashant Kasde, Ashutosh Sharma (C), Rishabh Chauhan, Rakesh Thakur (WK), Parth Sahani, Harshwardhan Singh, Vivek Sharma, Vineet Rawat.
Kartik Parihar, Parth Chaudhary, Kuldeep Gehi, Rajat Patidar (C), Vikas Sharma (WK), Mangesh Yadav, Arpit Patel, Varun Shinde, Saumy Pandey, Ishan Afridi, Akash Raghuwanshi.
Ashutosh Sharma could be the batter to watch out for on Sunday. He hasn't been able to live up to his potential so far in the first two games. However, he was in good form during the IPL and would be high on confidence.
Ishan Afridi has had a great start to the campaign. The 23-year-old right-arm seamer has picked up four wickets in two matches. While his economy rate is a high 10.38, it has to be noted that he has bowled some difficult overs inside the power play and at the death.
