'MS Dhoni, Kapil Dev 'treated people like s***' - India great's father amid Irfan Pathan hookah row

After an old controversy around former all-rounder Irfan Pathan and MS Dhoni recently resurfaced, Yuvraj Singh’s father, Yograj Singh, slammed the legendary skipper. After the hookah comment linked with Dhoni grabbed headlines, Yograj brought his long-standing criticism of the 2011 World Cup-winning captain, along with digs at Kapil Dev and Bishan Singh Bedi.
The incident took place following a five-year-old interview of Pathan that went viral on social media. In the video, the former pacer recalled a conversation with Dhoni during the 2008 Commonwealth Bank series in Australia. While Dhoni reportedly assured him he was doing well, the left-armer hinted at being sidelined for reasons unrelated to performance. Taking the moment, Yograj lashed out at Dhoni, alleging that Pathan’s experience was not the only incident as such.
"It is not only about Irfan Pathan. You see Gautam Gambhir speaking about it. Virender Sehwag openly said it as well. Harbhajan Singh spoke about how he was put out of the team like a fly. You should arrange a jury on why he did what he did. MS Dhoni doesn't want to answer. One who doesn't want to answer has a guilty conscience," Yograj said while speaking to InsideSport.
Irfan Pathan reacts as old interview on MS Dhoni resurfaces
This is not the first time Yograj has slammed Dhoni. Over the years, he has openly spoken about Yuvraj Singh’s exclusion from the national team due to Dhoni’s influence. He further went on to target Indian skippers Kapil Dev and Bishan Singh Bedi, accusing them of mistreating players during their playing days.
"I talk about Bishan Singh Bedi, Kapil Dev, MS Dhoni. I can talk about people whom I have been with. They have treated people like s***. Jo galat hai wo galat hai. Two wrongs cannot make one right. I say this openly, that our cricketers and team were destroyed by our captain," Yograj added.
