George Munsey-led Los Angeles Waves CC defeated Atlanta Kings by 34 runs at the University of Texas Dallas in the National Cricket League T10 2025 Eliminator on Sunday, October 12.

Los Angeles won the toss and opted to bat first in the do-or-die contest. Ali Nadeem and Munsey got their team off to a dazzling start as they added 51 runs inside the first four overs. Munsey, who was the more flamboyant batter in the partnership, departed after scoring a breathtaking 16-ball 40. The left-handed batter hit five fours and three sixes in his innings.

Nadeem dropped anchor, even as Los Angeles lost wickets in clusters through the middle overs. The opening batter was eventually dismissed by Fabian Allen for a 23-ball 29 in the ninth over. Oliver Davidson, who walked out to bat at No. 7, hit one four and a six to register an important 13 runs off seven balls.

In the bowling department, Allen was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with figures of 2/14 in two overs. He got good support from Angelo Perera, who also took a couple of wickets.

In reply, Atlanta got off to a decent start with Sushant Modani and Rahkeem Cornwall getting the team off to a positive 24-run start inside the first three overs. However, Los Angeles bounced back strongly with some tight bowling.

Cornwall was retired out for 17 off 14 balls. Meanwhile, Tanvir was the only other batter to get into double figures for Atlanta. He scored a 16-ball 13. The Kings were restricted to 62/9 in their 10 overs. Los Angeles won the contest by 34 runs, giving them a chance to live to fight another day in Texas. Rumman Raees bowled a jaw-dropping spell, picking up three wickets, giving away just five runs in two overs.
