Los Angeles Waves Cricket Club (CC) lifted the second season of the National Cricket League (NCL) T10 2025 by defeating Dallas Lonestars CC in the grand finale on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the University of Texas, Dallas. They registered an emphatic 18-run victory to be crowned the new NCL T10 champions.
Batting first, Los Angeles Waves CC posted a competitive total of 100/5 in their allotted 10 overs. The team had a shaky start as captain George Munsey departed early for just five runs. However, Ali Nadeem and Gauranshu Sharma steadied the innings with a solid second-wicket partnership. Sharma looked in fine touch, scoring a quick-fire 23 off 10 balls, which included three towering sixes.
The middle-order batters Sheldon Jackson (10) and Shehan Fernando (10) contributed useful runs, but the innings revolved around Ali Nadeem’s brilliance. The opener anchored the innings superbly, remaining unbeaten on 47 off 28 deliveries, laced with three fours and three sixes, propelling his team past the 100-run mark. Among the Dallas bowlers, Aaron Johnson impressed with figures of 2 for 22 from his two overs.
In response, Dallas Lonestars CC struggled to chase down the target, managing 82/7 in their 10 overs. Their innings got off to a poor start, losing key batters early. Johnson went for a duck, while Colin Munro (11), Chadwick Walton (14), and Mikyle Louis (1) could not make a significant impact.
Dallas captain Samit Patel waged a lone battle, scoring a valiant 35 off 20 balls, including one boundary and three massive sixes. Ian Dev Singh remained unbeaten on 12, but the task proved too steep.
For Los Angeles Waves CC, Colin Archibald was the pick of the bowlers with 3/19, while Rumaan Raees chipped in with two wickets. For his match-winning knock and all-round impact, Ali Nadeem was deservedly named the Player of the Match.
