Houston Generals CC 41 all out in 10 overs (Usman Rafiq 9, Kennar Lewis 6; Paul van Meekeren 4/11, Rishi Ramesh 2/5) lost to Dallas Lonestars CC 45/1 in 6.3 overs (Aaron Johnson 22*, Chadwick Walton 12*; Nisarg Patel 1/13) by nine wickets.

Qualifier 1 in the National Cricket League T10 2025 turned out to be a one-sided affair at the University of Texas Dallas on Sunday, October 12, as Dallas Lonestars CC defeated Houston Generals CC by nine wickets. Dallas managed to avenge their loss to Houston in the final match of the round-robin phase of the tournament, which took place on Saturday.

Samit Patel won the toss on Sunday and opted to field first. Dallas bowled tightly inside the powerplay and were rewarded for their discipline in the third over. Kennar Lewis, Chandrapaul Hemraj, and William Bosisto were dismissed in the third over, with Paul van Meekeren picking up two wickets. The in-form Bosisto was unfortunately run-out.

While Toby Albert departed in the fifth over, Rishi Ramesh accounted for the wickets of Kwame Patton Jr and Adil Bhatti in the sixth. Savan Patel and Saad Bin Zafar departed in the next two overs as Houston were in dire straits at 24/8. The last two wickets added 17 runs as Houston were bowled out for a paltry total of 41.

In reply, Colin Munro and Aaron Johnson played watchful cricket and added 20 runs inside the first four overs. The New Zealand opener was dismissed by Houston captain Nisarg Patel in the fourth over. However, Dallas had already scored almost half the runs required to win the match.

Chadwick Walton and Johnson finished proceedings for Dallas, helping them reach the target in just 6.3 overs. While Johnson made an unbeaten 22 (20), Walton finished not out on 12 (12). With this win, Dallas made it to the final. Meanwhile, Houston will get a shot at redemption when they play in Qualifier 2 with the hope of making it to the summit clash.
