New Zealand (NZ) and the West Indies (WI) are gearing up for the culmination of their ongoing series as they prepare to face each other in the third and final ODI at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Saturday, November 22.
After losing the three-match T20I series 4-0, visitors West Indies continued their poor run in the ODI leg of the ongoing series. The first contest saw the hosts winning the game by seven runs, following which the team continued their form in the second clash, winning by five wickets. The BlackCaps will look to end this with another whitewash.
The pitch at Seddon Park in Hamilton is expected to swing around for the first few overs. However, batters will find scoring easier once the ball gets old. Winning the toss and batting first could be a good option. However, keeping wickets in hand is going to be crucial.
Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra, Will Young, Mark Chapman, Tom Latham(w), Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner(c), Nathan Smith, Kyle Jamieson, Matt Henry, Blair Tickner
John Campbell, Ackeem Auguste, Keacy Carty, Shai Hope(w/c), Sherfane Rutherford, Roston Chase, Justin Greaves, Romario Shepherd, Matthew Forde, Shamar Springer, Jayden Seales
West Indian skipper Shai Hope was in scintillating form against New Zealand in the second ODI as he scored his 19th ODI ton. He hammered 109* runs off 69 deliveries with the help of 13 boundaries and four maximums. However, his century went in vain as the visitors faced a five-wicket defeat. Meanwhile, Hope will be looking forward to this game and will be confident to bat the same way he did in the previous game.
New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson could be the best bowler in the upcoming game of the series. In two games, he has bagged six wickets and is the highest-wicket taker of the series. The right-arm speedster will be hoping to pick crucial wickets at regular intervals.
