Former South African legend AB de Villiers recently named his pick for the next “Mr. 360” in world cricket. Though retired, De Villiers remains active off the field with his sharp observations. Known for his fearless on-field behavior, his latest remarks quickly went viral across social media platforms.
During an appearance on the popular ‘The Shubhankar Podcast’, de Villiers named Dewald Brevis as his choice for the next “Mr. 360” in cricket. He pointed out Brevis’s attacking style, shared jersey number 17, and fearless approach. De Villiers praised his talent, range of shots, and ability to play with freedom.
During a talk on the famous podcast, AB de Villiers said, “From South Africa, I would say Dewald Brevis. He also wears the number 17 on his back. He plays a similar brand of cricket—very attacking. He still has a lot to learn. He is talented, fearless, and plays the game with the same freedom I enjoyed. Brevis has all the shots and the temperament to be special,”

Meanwhile, de Villiers also spoke about India’s T20I captain and one of the most exciting T20 batters ever, Suryakumar Yadav. He praised SKY for being a Mr. 360 in his own right, highlighting his ability to manipulate the field and play unconventional shots even under intense pressure with remarkable consistency.
“SKY is already a Mr. 360 in his own right. The way he manipulates the field and plays unconventional shots under pressure is exceptional,” De Villiers concluded.
De Villiers recently had a stellar WCL 2025 season, finishing with 429 runs in just 6 innings at an astonishing average of 143.00. His consistent brilliance with the bat was capped off by a breathtaking century in the final, which completely blew the opposition away. De Villiers showcased his trademark innovation and control under pressure, playing a huge role in South Africa Champions’ title triumph.
