Pakistan are set for a busy home international season as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a packed schedule featuring Sri Lanka and England. The action will run from October 9 to November 21, with a three-match T20I series, a seven-match ODI tri-series and a subsequent Test assignment against Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka will be the first visiting side to arrive in Pakistan, beginning their tour with a three-match T20I series against the hosts. The matches will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from October 9 to 13. The Sri Lankan team is scheduled to reach Pakistan on October 4, giving them a few days to settle in before the limited-overs series gets underway.

Following the T20I leg, attention will shift towards the ODI tri-series, with England joining Pakistan and Sri Lanka for the tournament. The series will be played across Rawalpindi and Lahore between October 18 and 31. The tri-series will feature seven matches, including a final, giving all three teams an extended opportunity to prepare for their upcoming international assignments while also adding competitive context to the bilateral calendar.

The upcoming tournament will be Pakistan’s second ODI tri-series in as many years. The country previously hosted New Zealand and South Africa in a three-team ODI competition in February 2025, shortly before the ICC Champions Trophy. The latest tri-series will begin in Rawalpindi, where Pakistan will face Sri Lanka on October 18 before taking on England two days later. Sri Lanka and England will then meet on October 22.

The action will move to Lahore for the final phase of the competition, beginning with another Pakistan-England clash on October 25. Pakistan will then face Sri Lanka on October 27, followed by another meeting between Sri Lanka and England on October 29. The top two sides will compete in the final at Lahore on October 31.

Sri Lanka’s tour will continue well beyond the tri-series. After the ODI competition, the visitors will remain in Pakistan for a three-day match in Islamabad from November 4. That fixture will serve as part of the build-up to a two-Test series against Pakistan, which will count towards the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle.

The opening Test is scheduled for November 9 to 13 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The teams will then travel to Lahore for the second and final Test, which will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium from November 17 to 21.
