Prince Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi replace Harshit Rana and Varun Chakaravarthy in India's squads

The Men's Selection Committee has named Prince Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi as replacements for Harshit Rana and Varun Chakaravarthy in India's ODI and T20I squads, respectively.

Rana reported a sudden onset of discomfort in his right hamstring during the third T20I against England at Trent Bridge. Subsequent scans revealed a Grade 1 hamstring injury. He has been ruled out of the forthcoming ODI series against England and will report to the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE) for further assessment and management.

Chakaravarthy also reported a sudden onset of discomfort in his left hamstring during the third T20I against England. An MRI scan subsequently revealed a Grade 2 hamstring injury. Based on specialist medical advice, he has been ruled out of the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe. He will report to the BCCI COE for further management.

India's three-match ODI series against England will get underway on Tuesday, July 14. The first game will be played at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Meanwhile, Cardiff and London are the venues for the last two ODIs, which are going to be played on July 16 and 19, respectively.

Fans are waiting for the series to commence with bated breath as stalwarts like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are set to be in action. Shubman Gill is going to lead the team and he will look to end the losing streak that India has been on this month. India's last ODI assignment was a three-match series against Afghanistan at home. Shubman and Co. won the series 3-0.
