Prithvi Shaw’s fiancée Akriti Agarwal shares cryptic post amid breakup rumours

Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw has once again found himself in the spotlight, this time for his personal life. His fiancée, social media influencer and actress Akriti Agarwal, shared a cryptic post on social media that has fuelled fresh speculation about their relationship. The post surfaced just days after an alleged Instagram Story, widely circulated online, was interpreted by many fans as hinting at trouble between the couple.

While social media has been abuzz with rumours, neither Shaw nor Akriti has made any public statement regarding the speculation. The couple also continue to follow each other on Instagram, with no official indication that their relationship status has changed.

Akriti’s latest social media post simply read, “Misunderstood by many!” Despite its brevity, the message quickly caught the attention of fans and triggered another round of discussions online. The post came shortly after screenshots of an alleged earlier Instagram Story went viral across social media. The now-unavailable Story read, “I got cheated so many times, yet I never said a word. Still can’t believe that after taking one step ahead.” It further added, “Everything is true, every rumours is true. What you see on social media about him.”

Although the viral post did not mention Shaw or any other individual by name, many users linked it to the Indian batter, leading to widespread speculation. However, there has been no confirmation that either of the posts was directed at Shaw. Despite the rumours, both Shaw and Akriti continue to follow each other on Instagram and have not deleted any engagement-related posts. The couple had announced their engagement in March when Shaw shared a series of pictures alongside Akriti.

While his personal life continues to attract attention, Shaw has remained focused on getting his cricket career back on track. Once regarded as one of India’s brightest batting talents after captaining the country to the Under-19 World Cup title in 2018 and scoring a century on his Test debut later that year, Shaw has endured a difficult few seasons due to inconsistent form and fitness concerns.

Although he was part of the Delhi Capitals (DC) squad during IPL 2026, the stylish opener did not feature in a single match throughout the tournament. Despite the setbacks, Shaw has made it clear that his ultimate ambition remains representing India once again. For now, while speculation surrounding his personal life continues to dominate conversations on social media, neither Shaw nor Akriti has commented publicly, leaving fans waiting for any official clarification.
