Islamabad United (ISL) are set to face Hyderabad Kingsmen (HYK) in Eliminator 2 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Friday, May 1.
Shadab Khan has led the Islamabad United from the front. They finished second on the points table after the round-robin stage of the tournament. In 10 matches, they won six and lost just three, with one game being washed out. In the Qualifier, they lost to Peshawar Zalmi by 70 runs and would want to bounce back strongly on Friday.
Hyderabad Kingsmen started their maiden PSL campaign with four consecutive losses. However, they turned things around commendably, winning six out of their last seven matches. This includes an eight-wicket victory in Eliminator 1 against Multan Sultans.
Under the lights, the pitch could get better for batting. The captain who wins the toss would want to bowl first. The last five games played at this venue in PSL 2026 have been won by chasing teams. It will be important for both teams to gauge the surface quickly.

Shadab Khan is second on the list of leading wicket-takers in the tournament. He has 17 scalps from nine matches and is economy rate is a fantastic 6.97. The Islamabad captain will have a crucial role to play through the middle overs.
