Hyderabad Kingsmen (HYK) lock horns with Peshawar Zalmi (PES) in match No. 14 of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 at the National Stadium in Karachi on Wednesday, April 8.

Marnus Labuschagne's Hyderabad Kingsmen have played three games so far and lost all of them. They are coming into this clash on the back of a six-wicket defeat to Multan Sultans. Hyderabad would hope that a change in venue would help them register their first win in the PSL.

Meanwhile, Babar Azam-led Peshawar Zalmi started their campaign with a five-wicket win against the Rawalpindiz. However, their subsequent clash against Islamabad United was washed out. Zalmi will be playing their first match in the month of April this season.

The National Stadium in Karachi is expected to provide batting-friendly surfaces, offering consistent pace and bounce. Power hitters might not feel much difference from the pitches at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore in the first phase of the tournament. Dew could play a role and the captain who wins the toss might want to bowl first.

Saim Ayub, Maaz Sadaqat, Marnus Labuschagne (C), Usman Khan (WK), Sharjeel Khan, Syed Ali, Irfan Khan, Hassan Khan, Maheesh Theekshana, Riley Meredith, Mohammad Ali.

Babar Azam (C), Mohammad Haris, Kusal Mendis (WK), Aaron Hardie, Farhan Yousaf, Michael Bracewell, Abdul Samad, Aamer Jamal, Sufiyan Muqeem, Shoriful Islam, Ali Raza.

Mohammad Haris showcased his exemplary batting skills in the game against the Rawalpindiz. He scored 47 off just 28 balls, hitting four fours and two sixes. The 25-year-old would like to go after the bowling from the outset and give his captain Babar Azam a chance to ease into his innings.

Riley Meredith has bowled with a lot of heart so far in PSL 2026. In three matches, he has picked up five wickets at an average of 23.40. The Australian speedster will look to pick up wickets with the new ball and give the formidable batting line-up of Peshawar something to think about.
