Hyderabad Kingsmen (HYK) square off against Islamabad United (ISL) at the National Stadium in Karachi on Sunday, April 12. This is going to be the 21st match in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026.
Marnus Labuschagne's Hyderabad Kingsmen will be playing against Karachi Kings on Saturday and then return on Sunday to face Islamabad. They are winless after four matches, with losses coming against Lahore Qalandars, Quetta Gladiators, Multan Sultans, and Peshawar Zalmi.
On the other hand, Islamabad United find themselves at No. 3 on the points table. They started their campaign with a five-wicket defeat against Multan Sultans. Their next game against Peshawar Zalmi was abandoned due to rain. However, Shadab Khan and Co. won three matches on the trot from that point onwards.
The National Stadium in Karachi is expected to provide a balanced surface, with something in it for the batters as well as bowlers. In the first four matches, the average first-innings score has been around 169. Two games have been won by teams batting first, while chasing teams have also emerged victorious on a couple of occasions.
Maaz Sadaqat, Saim Ayub, Sharjeel Khan, Usman Khan (WK), Marnus Labuschagne (C), Kusal Perera, Irfan Khan, Hassan Khan, Maheesh Theekshana, Hunain Shah, Mohammad Ali.
Devon Conway (WK), Sameer Minhas, Mohammad Faiq, Haider Ali, Mark Chapman, Shadab Khan (C), Imad Wasim, Faheem Ashraf, Chris Green, Richard Gleeson, Salman Irshad.
The 19-year-old Sameer Minhas has been in red-hot form, amassing 185 runs in four matches at an average of 61.67 and a strike rate of 163.72. He will be looking to provide his team with a flying start at the top of the order.
The experienced Shadab Khan has led his team from the front. With his leg-spin, Shadab has accounted for seven wickets in four matches at an average of 13.86. He has an economy rate of 6.93, which is excellent for a wrist spinner.
