Rachin Ravindra's IPL 2026 Auction: AI predicts team and final bid price

New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra is another notable name released by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini-auction. The left-hander was initially acquired for INR 4 crore via the Right-to-Match (RTM) card during the IPL 2025 mega-auction.
Across two seasons with CSK, the 26-year-old featured in 18 matches, scoring 413 runs, a return considered below par given the current scoring standards in the league. His T20I numbers are also modest, though his performances in the longer formats have been exceptional, averaging over 40 and establishing himself as one of New Zealand’s most promising young batters.
Despite inconsistent T20 output, Ravindra’s age and all-round potential make him an attractive option for several franchises. Teams looking to rebuild or strengthen their middle order may see him as a long-term investment who can be moulded into a reliable contributor.
AI Predicts David Miller's IPL 2026 Team, Final Bid Price
According to AI-based projections, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) emerge as the frontrunners to bid for the Kiwi all-rounder. With Andre Russell retiring, the three-time champions are in urgent need of a dynamic overseas all-round option. Ravindra has listed himself in the highest auction bracket at INR 2 crore, aligning with KKR’s requirements.
KKR enter the auction with the largest purse, INR 64.30 crore, and six overseas slots to fill. Their financial strength allows them to outbid most competitors. The franchise also released Venkatesh Iyer, freeing up additional funds for a high-impact overseas player. Ravindra’s left-arm spin could provide an ideal complement to Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy, enhancing KKR’s spin-heavy strategy.
With quality overseas all-rounders in short supply this year, Ravindra is likely to draw significant attention. Though he tends to take time to settle at the crease, once set, he can dominate both pace and spin. The larger boundaries at Eden Gardens could further enhance his style of play, making him a strong tactical fit for KKR.
