Marking six years since the release of her acclaimed film ‘Dear Comrade‘, actress Rashmika Mandanna took a trip down memory lane by sharing an emotional note and a set of behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram. The film, which hit theatres on July 26, 2019, starred Vijay Deverakonda alongside Rashmika, and was released in Telugu with dubbed versions in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
What stood out in Rashmika’s nostalgic post was the inclusion of former Indian Women’s Cricket Team captain Mithali Raj in one of the pictures—an acknowledgment of the real-life inspiration behind her on-screen role as a national-level cricketer.
Rashmika fondly reminisced about Dear Comrade on its sixth anniversary, describing it as a film that brought immense love, happiness, and positivity into her life. She shared that she still holds onto behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot, often revisiting them with a sense of nostalgia and gratitude. Reflecting on the beautiful memories made during the filming process, she expressed heartfelt appreciation for everyone who was a part of the journey, wrapping her message with an outpouring of love for the entire team. The photo dump featured co-star Vijay and also included a snapshot with Mithali, drawing attention to the film’s strong sports narrative and Rashmika’s dedication to her character.
“6 years of Dear Comrade. A film filled with so much love, happiness, positivity and all and more love. These are some photos captured years ago, I still have them in my phone and I keep looking back at them… and thinking what a beautiful time I had and what beautiful memories we all made shooting this film. Only and only love for everyone who were associated with this film,” wrote Rashmika on Instagram.
