'Really don't know what is going to happen' - CSK assistant coach Sridharan Sriram on MS Dhoni's IPL future

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are set to play their last game of the season against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday, May 25. Though it is the end of the season for the Yellow Brigade, people are still curious about the future of CSK legend MS Dhoni in the tournament.

The legendary wicketkeeper-batter has not made an official decision on his future and stated that he will be using the next eight months to see if he will be ready for the next year. CSK’s assistant coach Sridharan Sriram was questioned about the future of the five-time IPL-winning captain during the pre-match press conference. However, the former India cricketer has said that he is unaware of his retirement plans and mentioned that head coach Stephen Fleming, Dhoni, and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad have a clear idea about the future of the team.

“Not as much as I know. Really don't know what is going to happen, I think the good thing is Fleming and MS, Ruturaj. They've got a clear idea of what went wrong and what needs to be done. So I think the road ahead is quite clear, which I think is a real positive," Sriram said.
