India and Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Rohit Sharma has launched a brand new show on the Sony platform. The right-handed batter is one of the most popular cricketers in the country, and the fans will now have the opportunity to watch the star batter on their television outside of the cricket field.
The new television show will be shown on Sony Entertainment Television and streamed on Sony LIV. The TV organisation, along with Rohit, shared a short promotional video on Instagram. It is, however, worth mentioning that the promo did not give away much on what kind of show it is going to be, or whether it will have any connection to cricket.
The video shows fans asking Rohit to say his iconic line, where he was caught on the stump microphone saying, ‘Koi garden me nahi ghoomega’ (no one will roam around in the garden). This happened during India’s Test match against England in February 2024 in Visakhapatnam. The Men in Blue went to win the series 4-1 with a bunch of young players making a name for themselves, including Sarfaraz Khan and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
In announcing the new show, Rohit’s video had the following caption:
“Bohot hua Garden… ab kuch naya karte hai!” (Enough of the garden. Let's try something new.
Rohit is currently part of the MI squad, which is struggling to find consistent form in the 2026 Indian Premier League. After 10 matches, the five-time champions have picked up just six points and sit ninth in the standings.

Rohit himself had to sit out five matches this season due to a hamstring injury. However, in the games he has featured in, he has been excellent. The opener has scored 221 runs at an average of 55.25 whilst striking at 174.01. He recently scored 84 off just 44 balls as MI went on to secure a six-wicket victory over the Lucknow Super Giants.
