Sunrisers Eastern Cape and MI Cape Town will take on each other in Match 29 of SA20 2025-26 at the St George's Park in Gqeberha on Sunday, January 18. This will be the teams' final league phase fixture this season.

The Eastern Cape have had two matches interrupted due to bad weather. They possess the best net run rate (+2.003) amongst other participants thanks to their comprehensive wins. Eastern Cape will be playing Qualifier 1 if they win the coming game.

The Cape Town have an outside chance of finishing in the top four. However, a lot will be dependent on Joburg Super Kings and their results. The Nicholas Pooran-led unit will aim to give themselves the best chance by winning the return fixture against the Eastern Cape. They have won three of their recent four matches.

Batting has not been the easiest at the venue and the scores have indicated that in the recent past. Only once has a team batting first crossed the 180-run mark in the SA20 this season. In the four matches played in the ongoing installment, two each have been won by chasing and defending teams.

Jonny Bairstow, Quinton de Kock (wk), Matthew Breetzke, Jordan Hermann, Tristan Stubbs (c), James Coles, Marco Jansen, Lewis Gregory, Senuran Muthusamy, Anrich Nortje, Adam Milne

Rassie van der Dussen, Ryan Rickelton (wk), Reeza Hendricks, Nicholas Pooran (c), Kieron Pollard, Jason Smith, Dane Piedt, George Linde, Corbin Bosch, Kagiso Rabada, Trent Boult

This has been mixed season for de Kock. He has looked in fine touch whenever he has spent adequate time at the crease. The left-handed batter, although having returned for a golden duck against the same opposition in the first leg, will be eager to make amends this time.

Rabada has been a touch expensive in this SA20 edition, having an economy rate of 9.58. However, a bowler of Rabada's pedigree cannot be ignored. He could be a sure shot threat to the opposition, particularly with with the new ball.
